TALENT OF THE MONTH – Carla Rey
during New York Fashion Week we had the chance to have a lovely interview with our beautiful talent Carla to give you a glimpse of her personal and work life.
1. How did you become a model?
At the age of 18, while I was studying fashion design, modeling sounded like a way to start working in the industry earlier, that’s why I sent my pictures to an agency which is currently my mother agency and that’s how I started working.
2. What was the most spontaneous thing you’ve done lately?
During fashion week is hard to find time to make plans, so most of the museums, parks and places that I was able to visit in New York came from crossing them in the street. Such as the MoMA or even Time Square.
3. Tell us 3 things that make you unique.
– I can easily adapt to change and I prefer to lead a more dynamic and less routine lifestyle.
– I am self-taught for everything I choose to study and learn outside of work.
– I like the diversity of living with people of different origins, cultures and ages, it helped me to have an open and more compassionate mind.
4. Who was the biggest influence in your life and why?
My biggest influence is possibly David Bowie, his way of facing his artistic career without fear of being wrong, being able to always reinvent himself made me realize that everything is possible.
5. What is your favorite thing about your career?
What I like the most about my career is the opportunity to work with creatives from all over the world, to see how they influence my own creativity and professional development.
6. If you could have a superpower. What would it be?
I wish I could teleport anywhere in the world.
7. What is your favorite place in the world and why?
My favorite city is Buenos Aires, especially its people. The aura of the city is different from all the rest of the world.
