TALENT OF JULY – Aksharaa Jandhyala
The new month starts with our beautiful talent Aksharaa who we asked some question so you can get to know her a little better.
1. How did you become a model?
My friends actually pushed me to take part in a competition called elite model look in my last year of university. I ended up reaching the finale and that’s where my mother agency scouted me. I was always an awkward introvert but this profession has opened me so much and has instilled confidence in me.
2.Tell us 3 things that make you unique!
I think it’d be my perspective towards life, my will power and my long legs hahah
3. If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?
The first thing that comes to my mind and which I also truly believe that the world desperately needs right now is more compassion and kindness. Everyone’s fighting their individual battles and are trying to make it through life, the least we can do to make this journey a little easier for each other is by being considerate/kind.
4. If you were a food, what would it be?
It has to be paneer(cottage cheese) I love Indian food and I can honestly survive on just this.
5. What job did your parents envision for you?
My mom wanted me to be an interior designer and I think she still secretly wishes for it. But I’ve actually been blessed with wonderful parents who never tried to decide my path for me. All they’ve always wanted is for me to be happy in life and I’m very grateful to them for their unconditional support. They are my biggest cheerleaders.
6. What would you get up for in the middle of the night?
The only thing that’ll make me get up in the middle of the night or early in the morning would be an early call time for a shoot or if I’m going for a trek.
7. Do you have a favourite piece of clothing?
I don’t think I have a favourite piece of clothing that I wear all the time. But one thing I have that’s very close to my heart is my Grandmom’s beautiful green silk saree, it means the world to me.
