TALENT OF AUGUST – Aninda Kintari
August is in the name of our talent Aninda. To get to know her a little better we asked her some question about herself.
1. How did you become a model?
I used to model for various friends’ small businesses, but never seriously considered it a career until I eventually got scouted by ntn_6. The duo behind the agency knew me through a mutual friend. They have made my entry into this world so smooth, I feel very blessed and have become even more confident in my skin.
2. If you could travel in time and place, where would you like to go and who you would like to meet?
I can’t think of a specific person I would like to meet, as I believe we can learn something from every single person we come across. Thus, I would probably want to go back to a time before mass scale imperialism and industrialisation came into our world and simply walk around trying to have conversations about the smell of flowers and the way they live their lives. I’m a history nerd after all.
3. If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?
That people would realise that if their surroundings thrive, they will thrive. This includes our earth, the entire natural world and each living being. We would realise how interconnected we truly are and build our future on the grounds of care instead of greed.
4. If you could have a superpower what would it be?
The answer to this can only be flying! I dream about this often
5. What was the last gift you gave someone and why?
A beautiful photo album for my best friend. Her mother recently passed away, as has mine, and she wanted a place to collect her dearest memories of her mother.
6. What would you get up for in the middle of the night?
Es Campur, it’s an Indonesian dessert soup with a base of coconut milk, ice, various fruits, jelly, and fermented jackfruit. Trust me, it’s delicious. It is all I crave when I’m not back in Indonesia
7. Do you have a favourite piece of clothing?
Definitely my Arc’teryx jacket. I’m both an outdoorsy as well as a city girl, and this jacket allows me to perform and look my best in both places. I have done hiking with it, but can also combine it effortlessly into a hot fit that simultaneously keeps me dry throughout the Dutch weather. If I’m not in my streetwear mood however, a flowy white dress makes me feel like a goddess.
